Reflection: Is Happiness the Ultimate Goal?

Philosophers have debated for centuries whether happiness is the ultimate goal of human life. Aristotle thought so, coining the term eudaimonia, which is often translated as happiness or flourishing. But is happiness really what we should be striving for? Or is there something deeper?

And this is where the fun of existentialism study lies. Because only you have the answer that is true for yourself.

Reflect on your own life: Is happiness what drives your choices, or are you seeking something else, like meaning or fulfillment?

Happiness is fleeting, often tied to external factors. What if, instead, the goal is to live authentically, accept suffering, and find peace within it?

What if the pursuit of happiness distracts us from the richness of a more meaningful life?
